In total i have had 7 days of uptime, the rest has been downtime due to ddos attack,
I got told they have really good firewalls etc, for ddos and if it got bad they would activate the network filter, they are not doing anything about it all this downtime i am looseing customers and haveing reviews made of me and customers doing chargebacks.

About 2 years ago I switched over to HostGator, and never looked back. I have been an extremely satisfied customer, but today’s experience made me finally “speak up”.
Today, I sent in a ticket at 03:34:52 PM with a technical question. On 03:39:48 PM I received an answer back, and my problem was solved. An answer and solution in LESS than FOUR minutes!!!

Reviewed on December 5th, 2009 Find moreI decided to post my problems here to see if someone could help me before cancelling my service with HG. . I think his company has great plans/prices, but I can’t keep this service if I continue having problems. Basically,, I upgraded from a “BABY” plan to a VPS plan(level 3). The reason why I upgraded was b/c of a shopping that I will be implement (Magento). I have paid a lot of money to have the cart re-design with several different features AND I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO KEEP MY SERVICE WITH HG.
The issue that I’m having “NOW” is with Outlook. I cannot send emails and I’m getting an STMP error (see below) I’ve contacted Microsoft and my IPS provider and basically I was told to contact my hosting company. When I contacted HG, I was told to contact my ISP provider again. I’m going from one problem to another ,yesterday it was issues with cpanel not being installed. Personally, I think there’s some issue with the plan I upgraded to, b/c I was not having any issue (NONE WHAT SO EVER) until my account was converted over to a VPS plan.
