Reviewed on December 31st, 2008 Find moreIve used probably 5+ different hosting companies over the years. Just wanted to say that hostgator was and still is the best. I had a dedicated server for about a year, had 30 class C IP’s at SEO Hosting, and now Im just satisfied with shared hosting due to costs.
Which I might add about the shared hosting is I payed up front for 3 years of hosting for about the same price as I was paying for my dedicated server and SEO Hosting monthly.
Luckily the shared hosting can handle all my sites easily which is saving me thousands a year.

I’m glad to get back onto a dedicated, I’ve been on a VPS hosted by a overstuffed server. I’m upgrading my unmanaged server as we speak, but it’s great to see HG’s doing such a great job with their dedis now =)Keep up the great work HG! And thanks to the sales/support reps on the ticket/live chat system that helped get things running properly with WHMCS.
I’ll probably post in a week or so with more info… upgrading to a 100mbit nic card to get faster speeds for my gameservers.

Reviewed on December 22nd, 2008 Find moreAfter hearing a lot of good things about host gator the past year or so, and also knowing the owner is really active here, I decided to sign up with them.
I signed up with them on Black Friday, so I got an awesome deal .
Anyways, on to the review. I am on the Baby plan (Unlimited everything ).Speed:
My webpages (wordpress) loads pretty quick, however I have not transferred any of my ‘big’ sites yet. Also, I noticed that while I was downloading a 10Megabyte file from my site, the speed never got over 600kilobytes/sec. (My internet is capable of downloading 1.0 megabyte per second).
So, speed is not all that great, but it’s definitly far from being slow. -
Hostgator Review by alters – HG Is great!
Reviewed on December 21st, 2008 Find moreAfter spending about $12 a month for a website with only a 15gb bandwidth I decided to look for a new host with unlimited or a much, much..higher limit. I was often hitting this limit half way through the month which would the block anyone from reaching my website which was a real pain.
I then found Hostgator, while I had some issues after I bought my website I got them resolved with the live help that respond quite quick.
I haven’t had my website here that long. But I have been loving the unlimited bandwidth and space given.

but resold as well. Their support was poor – it seems they NEVER could get
it right the first time. Then thier reliability went downhill and I started losing my customers as a result. So, after 5 years with them, it was time to search for a new provider.After a LOT of research, I found you guys. The ease and simplicity of
getting things done is OUTSTANDING. And, when it comes to support: WOW!
Someone should give a big gold star to whoever is in charge of support.
You guys get it right on the first call and everyone I’ve ever talked to is
knowledgeable and knows their stuff!FLAT OUT AWESOME! Oh, and the SPEED of the sites is great, too!
If you’re not yet a customer and are reading this – just stop looking and SIGN UP. These people are GRRREAT!

I could not figure anything out and Shaun fixed everything on my website. I didn’t even have to do anything.
