    Ok been a member with hostgator for a month now nearly two and when i first started doing my site i had a few probs with the site keep going down but i think this was more me than the servers

    Anyway after about 2 days things settled down and I have had no problems since. Took a few hours tp get use to the interface you use to control your content on the servers but if i can use it anyone can.

    I am very satisfied and any help I have needed has been responded to quickly and effectively.

    I recommend hostgator to other people thinking of using a hosting service im on shared hosting with no problems and this is the first time I have used a hosting service.

    All things considered, I am happy with the support I have received. I only signed up for my Baby account over the weekend and have had live chat, phone and email support experiences.

    The crew have been courteous and helpful through all my questions and problems and I have found this forum most supportive and helpful in helping me get started.

    Considering I am in Australia in a waaaaay different time zone, it is VERY important to me to be able to find support when i need it and HG definitely has 24/7 support…….. my phone call (to assist me with the signing up) was placed on Satuday afternoon (way early in the morning over there at HG!!!) and I was speaking to someone (sorry I can’t remember the name ) who was very patient and helped me through it……..

    No doubt my issues were very minor issues (to the experienced…….) but to me they were real obstacles I had to overcome to get transferred etc and I have received replies to each and every query……..

    Thanks HG and I hope to enjoy many years here……. now I am just waiting for the propogation of my main site before doing the add-on (it will be another nervous period for me………).

    Positive Bravo!
    I’ve been a HostGator customer for about 6 months now and just recently rediscovered the forums (I looked at them just before I signed up), so I figured I’d put in a review.

    Overall, I’m impressed. My website, while not ready for prime-time yet (and may never be at the rate I’m going ), has been steady as a rock. I’ve had no reason to contact support as everything has “just worked” so far.

    There’s only a couple of minor negatives I can think of, and they ARE minor. The 60 pop checks per hour limit is understandable and tolerable, but annoying nonetheless. I’d also appreciate better PHP5 support, though it appears it’s on the way. From what I can understand, I can request it, but it’s still a bit more hassle than I’d like.

    I had almost decided to go to Dreamhost. They’re offering some spectacular deals and features, but they’ve been having a lot of technical problems and after perusing their website I was left with some concerns that I know HostGator already has gotten right.

    I am extremely pleased with the support I’ve received from HotGator. In the past I have contacted other abuse departments and received no assistance. I recently had a problem and HotGator replied quickly and my problem was taken care of within 24 hours. I even received a personal follow up email. Thank you for your assistance.

    Positive Prompt Support
    I had never before created an add-on domain, and as you might expect, got it all messed up when I FTP’d the files. Got it in the wrong directory.

    I sent a ticket to support and got an answer back within 3 or 4 minutes, it took two more back and forths between me and the support desk to get it fixed. It was prompt and professional. The whole fix probably only took 30 minutes start to finish.

  • Hostgator RHEL 3 Servers – DNS Down – Fix
