Any way….I think the BEST web-hosting company is HOSTGATOR….I search on Internet for 1 month for the best paid company but i didn’t find something better than HG…

The server I’m on had some issues in the beginning, that made me doubt if I had made the correct decision to go with HG. But then, this is something that can happen with ANY shared hosting system, and the issues (apparently someone running a script going haywire) were quickly resolved and I haven’t had any problems after that.!!!I also have a quite expensive account (allmost twice as expensive for 1/10th of bandwidth/hd space and I can only run 1 domain!) with another host, and the uptime on HG is better (I’ve been constantly monitorring by checking uptime and mysql uptime every 5 mins). (hadn’t transferred it to HG because it has a dedicated ip (for https), and is doing so well in google (for years) that I’m afraid to do something drastic like move to another host/ip.

Reviewed on July 21st, 2006 Find moreI have been with HG for about 2 months now and I have had nothing but positive reviews from the members of my site. So far 79% of the readers feel the site is faster and more reliable.
Also wanted to comment on the support I have received here. With my past hosting provider it would take up to 2 days before I would receive a reply to my email. So far here the support has been GREAT, and have always gotten a reply quickly.

I am leaving HG and figured that I should leave a review on my way out. Why, you ask? Because HG is still a great hosting solution, but it’s not the solution for me. I used a database intensive gallery and messageboard and with the limitations imposed by HG, it made it an unpleasant experience. I will say that 25 concurrent connections is a bit low.Many of you will say I should upgrade to a ‘larger’ plan, but I only had a personal website. I was using 3GB of Bandwidth a month on average. That’s not close to the 100GB I was allotted. Why should I upgrade when I was only using 3% of my BW.
It was good while it lasted, but I had to move to a provider that doesn’t impose the tight limitations that HG did.

Hostgator Review by PsiPro – Support has been slipping
Reviewed on July 18th, 2006 Find moreFor the past few times I contacted live support, they have been very slow. Frequently I have not been greeted and after posting my message I am greeted with a very long pause, no acknoledgment.
I had a DNS error which live support could apparently not resolve, I opened ticket HTL-614293 as requested (@ 11:42). The issues was misdiagnosed at 11:44, an then properly diagnosed at 11:53. At 1am I had not received any update and when I asked live support what was going on i was simply told the ticket was opened and would be delt with.
When a client is breathing down my neck I know it makes me impatient, however such a pauses with no contact after the error is found seem excessive.

Reviewed on July 11th, 2006 Find moreBackground : My main domain name, desk2web.co.uk was registered in 1998, and has remained with me through thick and thin. Before moving to HG I was hosted by realtimehosting.com in the UK, they retained the admin control on that domain when I moved to HG as a reseller (at the time it was the easiest thing to do and despite what anyone thinks I believe I did the best thing, for me, at the time).
realtimehosting sent me (as I found out today) many many messages through their control panel (HELM) but they were directed to an old email account which I no longer used ….. can you see where this is leading yet!
