Hostgator Review by abstraktMedia – starting to feel bad after 3 years with HG
Reviewed on February 26th, 2006 Find moreI recommended HG to a friend who was paying way to much for hosting and he was paying for every lilttle thing extra…So he decided to signup as a reseller and move his 100 customers to HG…
When he was signing up he entered a HG coupone (googled it in 5 secs) which offered him 10$ discount for life (he said so) on any plan…
So here’s why I really really feel cheated:
1) He’ll be paying $10/month less (that’s almost 40% discount) then me for the same plan!! (that’s $120/year!!)
2) He has php 4.4.1 and mysql 4.1.x while I’m stuck with php 4.3.10 and cra**y mysql 4.0.25…
3) and I’ve been with HG for more than 3 years now -
Hostgator Review by monyamic – Not taking it for granted
Reviewed on February 26th, 2006 Find moreI have been with HG for about 5 months and am on a learning curve. I have found that the support I get is first class and has helped me no end. I am particularly pleased with the way I am told what was done to resolve the issue as this is how I learn stuff. Just recently I put in a cheeky call for help on a website issue and the whole problem was fixed straight away WITH an explanation of what the problem was and how it was fixed.
I now feel compelled to write this to say thanks and to make sure that I don’t start to take this excellent service for granted by not getting uptight if HG don’t respond to my request for help in 14 mins instead of 15.

Hostgator Review by jdsalr – Old Member, still very satisfied
Reviewed on February 20th, 2006 Find moreWell, I have officially been with Hostgator now for 2.5 years.
I originally started off with a Silver reseller package, then upgraded to a Platinum reseller, and now, finally, I am going to a dedicated server.
My business has grown so much, I have no other choice but to upgrade.
It saddens me to see negative feedback on Hostgator support, as I think their support is second to none! I still can’t believe the support I get at such odd hours of the day. Previous hosts’ support were jokes compared to these guys.
I am not making this post because I am paid to do it, I am making it because I just want to let everyone out there know how great this hosting provider is.
Believe me, you don’t stick with a company for almost 3 years, if you aren’t satisfied with the results. This day and age, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of hosting providers out there. I am a Hostgator client for life.

Hostgator Review by hostck
Reviewed on February 15th, 2006 Find more(first i need to say, my english is not very good, so hope you guy don mind)
I buy a baby plan from hostgator at last month. They are fast, I get my username and password in 24hours. 99.9% uptime, never down. i give it 10/10, and the price is good too.
Everytimes i ask ticket support, they will reply in 10minutes~6hours. not very good.
Thier live chat is not very good, i think that live chat is just for sales service.
But unlucky, my site has been determined to be causing high loads on the server and they said it no suitable for shared hosting and need move to dedicated server. (i understand it because it write on term of agreement rite)
I think my site is no need move to dedicated server, it will waste a lot money. (because i already got one, still need find one any good dedicated hosting)?but hostgator is good , realy, believe me.
now i moving my site to site5.com. i hope they are good
never regret buy baby plan from hostgator.com.

Hostgator Review by webbpg – Not a happy customer!!
Reviewed on February 14th, 2006 Find moreI’m not a happy customer – The reason is one of my sites 100site.com was banned from my reseller account because of a php script that apparently crashed the server. I understand if a script is causing a problem with a server than it should be disabled. I don’t have a problem with that.
But I do have a problem on how this was handled because I wasn’t giving no opportunity to correct the problem and instead this site 100site.com was simply banned.
Regarding 100site.com, I didn’t realize the counter/top hits script was going to crash the server. It’s not like I set out to crashed the server for the fun of it. I run over 20 sites on my reseller account with hostgator.com. I been using this script on the 100site.com since 2004 and never had a problem until now. But, I’m aware a PHP script at anytime can cause problems with a server and no 2 servers are the same, so that’s not the issue.
But the issue is as a reseller for Hostgator.com they should of simply suspend the 100site.com hosting account to protect the servers and than inform me by email of the problem along with options on how I could solve the problem. There was no need to banned this site from my reseller account because the simple solution would of just to discontinued using the php script once made aware there was a problem using it.
