    I have been with Host Gator since Nov. They have been nothing but AWESOME in there support and believe me I have had to email them SEVERAL times in the last few days. They have always been quick to get back to me. I started with a Reseller account and this last week switched to Dedicated! They were awesome and fast with everything!

    I just wanted to say I am glad I am with Host Gator!

    I’m frustrated to say the least. 7hrs ago I reopened (for a second time) a trouble ticket regarding a recurring problem that HG support has been unable to fix for three days. In fact I posted about that problem in another thread. Granted I’m on the west coast… but in those 7 hrs I’ve added a total of three comments to the ticket, inquiring about status at the very least. no one from HG has contacted me in any way.

    So I just added a new ticket, in the hopes of getting somoeone to at least respond. here is the text the ticket.

    I have to say that I have moaned and groaned and am sure that I have made people miserable with my posts on occasion. However I am a fair person and have something to say. In the last 2 days I have badgered support with numerous requests about different issues. Yes I got somebody perhaps new one time this weekend who got things completely wrong which worried me considerably.

    However I can say that the people I spoke with this weekend were polite to the point and got the issues sorted out that I wanted dealt with. If you would like a case of support at the other end of the scale try lowcostdomains who never reply and if they do it will take them at least a week to 5 weeks. This is a documented fact by the way.

    It does not mean that I will not moan again, I am sure I will at some point. But the people whom I dealt with were very good this weekend albeit nasty horrid weather that was down in FLA.

    I emailed sales support about a very small issue regarding an extra IP address I was being charged for.

    Ben responded within minutes and we have been going back and forth all morning getting it straightened out. Ben always responded back within minutes. It was as if I was the only customer HostGator had.

    I have now been a HG customer for over a year. I have found that email support is very responsive. They always respond within minutes, even at night!

    The one time I was having a nagging problem, it turned out to originate with the ISP that I had changed to. HostGator Brent was kind enough to talk with me directly on the phone to help sort it out.

    I signed up with my reseller package without any problems.
    I followed everything that I was supposed to do and everything worked fine.
    My site(s) are available and the main pages pull up fast, that’s important!
    Resale Account creation is instant, management is a snap, etc.!
    So far everyting is going along to my satisfaction.

    Issues:
    I did not receive my forum activation for 5 days, even after contacting support and emailing Justin directly. It isnt a HUGE deal, but I was unable to view the reseller forums, etc, while trying to setup my sites, oh well not that big a deal but worth mentioning since everything else was automated except the forums.

    SPAM>>> My account has received a half-dozen spam emails already. I do not know if this is an issue related to the host or if people are targeting the IP’s associated with HostGator. This is not a good thing and I hope HostGator finds a way to keep spam to a minimum and shut down the people that are doing it. I am curious as to why I have received spam so quickly on a new account… maybe HostGator support can find a way to stop it.
