HostGator Review by SearchNetNow
Reviewed on June 27th, 2005 Find moreHello would like to share with you how HostGator went. I signed up last week and every since than has been a nightmare. After 3 days no problem all my sites were suspended cause of one site being too resource intensive. They never cared to proof to me it was they just said so. I think its cause I was using alot of bandwidth and they got worried or something. So I dont mind them disabling the site that had a problem. The problem comes in I had 5 different sites running on the same account. Mistake! Once they suspended one site all my sites were down. I told them why didnt you just chnage the permmissions so the first site wouldnt run. Well never got a good response on that. The so called live support is just someone to say email support. Im always like why cant you help me. No good response their either. So just to let you know be aware of hostgator. Sure some like them but my expericience was horrible. Just word of advice if your sites make you money get a good host. I lost more money cause of it being offline.

Hostgator If username / password is same it’s being changed
Reviewed on June 20th, 2005 Find moreEvery single account that is created this way is “hacked” and either spams, crashes the box, or runs ilegal files. We have created a script that will change the password to something random for any accounts created this way.

Hostgator Review by Pazeh – These Guys Rock!!
Reviewed on June 18th, 2005 Find moreI decided to make this post because majority of the threads out here are negative.
Come on guys !!
I do believe that there is nothing that works 100%, Ask that question to urself, everything that you do works all the time? around the clock ??
I have been with hosts that really sux. lot of unanswered tickets… with the last one it reached to a point that the downtime was more than the uptime & they didn’t care about it !!
Its been almost six months I’m with this guys, I had almost no problem & noticed only one MySql problem. It was solved almost at the same minute I contacted support.
One thing that this guys do REALLY ROCK in is the support. I have noticed that since the first day.
Beside this, the hosting is very cheap, specially when you take into concideration that u can host UNLIMITED websites in one plan
Keep up the great job guys & gals

Hostgator Review by mwandaw – Too Much Trouble With SpamCop
Reviewed on June 16th, 2005 Find moreI am a reseller using the server with IP 70.84.139.138. Off and on over the past couple of days my clients have complained (loudly) that their email messages were being bounced. When I checked their bounce messages, I found that SpamCop and AT&T was listing the server. A quick trip to http://www.dnsstuff.com/ showed there were others, too.
HG Support told me they only track SpamCop because all of the other RBLs are for making money. (Huh?)
Even if that’s true, SpamCop says ” In the past 106.3 days, it has been listed 14 times for a total of 11.2 days.” That means the server has been listed with SpamCop more than 10% of the time. WAY TOO MUCH!
I am very disappointed with this level of service.

Hostgator Review by silentcry – 6 months
Reviewed on June 1st, 2005 Find more6 months in, still no complaints. A nice thing happened the other day when i noticed the change in the packages for the shared hosting. One quick e-mail, and my account was upgraded to the new features in the package. Excellent.
