  • Hostgator Review by isya – Great Support 24 hours a day!!

    After more than half a year using a reseller account at Hostgator I think it is time to finally thank them for their great support. I live in Indonesia so the time difference is huge, but still whenever I need some help I only have to open MSN messenger and there is always somebody to help.

    I have used hosting accounts since I can remember but I never saw that service before. Or maybe I can better say it differently: Many companies promise 24 hours support but until now hostgator is the only one keeping that promise.

    Of course there were also some minor problems but not worthy to list here because they always solved it as quickly as possible.

    I am taking a second to say that in the past I was a poophead. I have posted on this forum with negative comments about support here at HG… I hereby take them all back. I have all kinds of little problems with getting my sites set up, etc, and I don’t hesitate to contact online support. I get quick help with as close to a smile as can get. Recently, I had a problem that the HG rep, Jule, couldn’t fix (because it can’t be done and I hadn’t thought of it) and he or she helped me by suggesting multiple solutions. I’ve contacted support a few times and received this kind of help without saying anything – it’s easier to want to be heard when you’re irritated. If you are considering HG and are concerned about support… here is my honest take – it takes a minute to get used to the fact that you aren’t receiving overly courteous form letters and rote responses through gritted teeth or walkthroughs that amount to “clear your cache” every time you have a question…. once you get used to dealing with real human beings you will find HG to be a terrific hosting company.

    Well we have only been with Host Gator since Sunday, but the service has been great, firstly whenever we’ve had questions it has been easy to find an answer especially with the live help. The people on msn were also helpful in answering our questions before we ordered….

    We are very happy with Host Gator’s service because firstly it has not yet gone down like our old host, although at one time they were reliable they never gave us any real quality support, unlike Host Gator. The Host Gator server is not only more stable and more powerful, but it has more CPanel features, including fantastico. Host Gator also provide whmautopilot licenses for free with reseller accounts which is brilliant!

    The reseller server we were on at our old host had become very unreliable and we had been told that we would be moved to a new server, yet they never changed the nameservers for our domain, which they had control of, and all they said was that they were doing it or would do it and we were just waiting and waiting. Well on Sunday we had had enough, that server had gone down so we started looking for a decent new reseller as we new that our customers would not be happy with the server going down….
    It did not take us long to find Host Gator after looking through quite a few resellers….and we were immediately impressed.

    My name is Richard and I’m the president of Mouse Wonders, Inc. I have been with Hostgator for over a year and have experienced the best hosting service I have ever had.

    Before Host Gator I switched from 5 different companies in two months before I found my life saver host gator. As you know switching to a new server is a pain in the neck and takes hours to do so. I’m very happy that I haven’t had to even think about switching.

    Tech support is wonderful!! They have live help on AIM almost always!! So getting help is a breeze. New services and upgrades are wonderful; they really stay on top of new technology. I could go on for hours and hours… They have earned my respect and my review. (Which I normally do not give reviews.)
