Reviewed on December 31st, 2003 Find moreHostgator has an amazing and impressive response time on support!! I contacted them via MSN messenger today to try to solve an issue with Outlook. I had tried everything…or so I thought…and the person I spoke with was very patient and walked me through all the steps (including checking to see if I read the troubleshooting guide – which I said I read). Finally, it was determined that the issue was DNS propagation and all I had to do to solve the problem was what was in the troubleshooting guide all along (and of course wait a few more days until DNS is fully propagated) – here’s what’s in the guide:
*Change your incoming and outgoing mail servers from mail.yourdomain.com to the ip address listed in your welcome email.

My suggestion for HostGator, is that they left align all of their troubleshooting guides, center aligned is not as easy to read.

In that time, I’ve only needed help from support one or two times, for simple issues that I didn’t understand. The support was always there and helpful. I’m very pleased with the service and will continue to host my site here.

I like the built in forum scripts… Especially since they are high quality forum scripts, such as PHPBBand Invision.
That way you don’t have to deal with alot of headache problems that come with downloading message board scripts and installing them… Just a few clicks and you’reon your way.
I have encountered only one problem, which was most likely my fault, but once I posted my problem on the forum, support got back to me ASAP… And their ASAP is alot sooner than any host i’ve ever been with.

They have helped me with any support issue I had with them. Their service is extrordonary. The servers are very good and down time is very minimal only when upgrades are done.

Reviewed on December 9th, 2003 Find moreFirst off you don’t treat a customer like you have in your last email. I am familiar with JSP and have done them before just for your information. I have no problem running the exact same thing on my local machine using Tomcat 4.0. Not only that it takes three days for you to get back with me. YOU SAY YOUR FAST! So much for customer service! And how about your one support specialist. Most of the time when you put new Servlets on the Server you need a restart. He sure doesn’t know that. But I don’t have time to teach him that if you want to be smart. Cancel my account! I will go somewhere else!
